Welcome to the twenty-fifth edition of 'Making Money with Email.'
I'm back in action this week. The family roadtrip was a success! And minimal tears from my 1-year old during the long drive. Reminder to take some time away from business to recharge... it does wonders to your creativity.
Now, onto today's content...

I have a confession to make... I sign up for a ton of free lead magnets.
If you're a marketer and you're offering up a lead magnet, I'm probably on your list.
Some of the lead magnets ARE really valuable to me. But as an email marketer, I actually enjoy going through the sales funnel and email automations to study what others are doing.
Most of the emails I continue to receive from these marketers make it to my inbox BUT there's a good chunk that end up going right to my spam folder.
And it's easy to see why.
The ones landing in my spam folder are very generic.
No personalization. Don't provide any value. The type of email I would probably delete right away without even reading.
But the ones that are making it to my inbox... they're obviously doing something right.
They're sending quality emails that are relevant to their audience and are producing more 'positive signals' because of this.
Wondering what these magical 'positive signals' are how they can help you get more emails to the inboxes of your subscribers?
Let's break it down in today's email...
Mailbox providers (aka Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo, etc) have a job to protect their recipients' inboxes by only allowing them to receive emails they WANT to read. And keeping out mail that the reader might consider junk or of no value to them.
Each mailbox provider (MBP) has their own proprietary algorithm to decide what is considered a "spam" email and what's not. When you hit send on your email campaign, MBPs track dozens of positive and negative 'signals' to decide where your email should land.
We'll talk about the negative signals next week, this week I want to focus on those positive signals.
Some examples of positive signals are:
This is exactly why you see so many people ask you to reply to their welcome email. Every reply they get to their email is a positive signal and boosts their chances of future emails getting into your inbox.
As mentioned earlier, the more positive signals you're emails receive, the more likely you are to have your emails land in the inbox.
Here are a few pointers on how to increase these positive signals:
